Men's Thobes

A quiet line, worn properly.

A man's thobe lives or dies on proportion: where the shoulder seam sits, how the sleeve falls, whether the hem breaks once at the ankle or pools over the shoe. Our men's range keeps those details simple and consistent, so the garment reads clean from a distance and up close.

Three directions, each cut with a different amount of room and a different neckline. Wear one to the office, one to Friday prayers, one to a wedding — nothing here asks you to choose a single identity.

Size guide

Fit and length, decided before you order

Three measurements settle most fit conversations. Decide them once and every thobe you own becomes easier to judge.

Shoulder is the anchor. If the seam sits on the shoulder bone, everything below it falls correctly; if it slides past, no amount of tailoring will make the garment look right.

Sleeve length is set by the wrist bone, and the cuff should allow the hand to move without the sleeve riding up. Chest and waist decide how the body sits — closer for a sharper look, more room for heat and long wear.

Length is personal, but decide it deliberately: hem at the ankle bone, or a short break over the shoe. Say which you prefer when you request personal tailoring, because it changes the cut rather than the size label.

Reading fabric and care information

Reading fabric and care information

A thobe's behaviour in heat comes from the cloth, not the label on the page. When a garment's composition and finish are confirmed, the product page lists them; when they are not, the page says so. General guidance we can offer without touching a specific garment:

  1. Weight and weave decide how a thobe falls and how warm it feels; a tighter weave looks crisper, an open one breathes more.
  2. A blended finish can improve crease recovery, but only the garment's own label confirms what a specific piece contains.
  3. Care follows the label, not the internet. Where a label and our guidance disagree, the label wins.
  4. If a colour matters to you — a true white against an off-white — ask before ordering, since screen photographs cannot be trusted for tone.

Ready-to-wear, or made for you

Our men's thobes are offered in standard sizes, and most of them can also be requested through personal tailoring. If your measurements sit between sizes, if you prefer a specific sleeve or hem, or if you simply want one garment that fits exactly, that route is usually worth the conversation.

Men's thobes: common questions

Which size should I start with?

Use your usual chest measurement as the first reference, then check the garment's own measurements where they are published. Height and preferred hem length decide the rest, and both are questions we can settle in one message.

How should a thobe fit through the body?

Close enough to look deliberate, loose enough to sit and walk without pulling. Regular fits sit nearer the body; relaxed fits give more room through the chest and sleeve, which most people prefer in warm weather.

What length should I choose?

Hem at the ankle bone is the most versatile answer; a slight break over the shoe reads more formal. Whichever you prefer, say so when ordering or when requesting tailoring so the same preference is applied next time.

Can I mix a Saudi-inspired thobe with Omani-inspired pieces?

Of course. The style names describe how a garment is cut and finished, not a set of rules. Many wardrobes hold two or three directions and wear whichever suits the day.

Do the prices include tailoring or alterations?

No. Each price covers the garment in the size and colour you selected. Tailoring is a separate request with its own details — measurements, price and timeline are confirmed with you before anything proceeds.

Are these garments available today?

This site is a prototype, so availability, fabric and delivery details are illustrative. Use the product page as a description of the experience we are building, not as a live stock list.

How do I care for a white thobe?

Follow the label on the garment. General advice — wash similar colours together, avoid harsh bleach on a bright white, dry away from direct heat — is a starting point only, and never overrides the label.
