Friends & family

Shopping together

Two different things get called 'sharing'. One sends a garment to a friend; the other builds one bag together. Here is the difference.

Sharing a product

Every product page can be sent as a link: to a sister's phone, a family group, a friend who asked what you were wearing. It carries the garment and nothing else — no size, no quantity, no commitment. Whoever opens it sees the same product page you did, and can add it to their own bag.

Joining a shared bag

A shared bag is one bag that several people contribute to. The organiser opens it, the link goes out, and each participant chooses their own garment, size, colour and quantity. Contributions sit side by side until the organiser reviews the whole bag.

How the shared bag is arranged

How the shared bag is arranged

  1. 01One combined order — everybody's choices land in a single bag.
  2. 02One payer for that order.
  3. 03One delivery address for the combined order.
  4. 04Participants choose their own items and variants; nobody picks for anybody else.
  5. 05The organiser reviews the final bag before it goes anywhere.
  6. 06The offer is calculated on the bag's combined eligible units — sharing a link alone unlocks nothing.
  7. 07Each participant consents to their contribution being visible to the organiser before it is added.

How it runs

How it runs

  1. 01

The organiser starts a shared bag from a product page and gives it their name.

  2. 02

A link is created. Send it to the people you want to take part.

  3. 03

Each participant opens the link, chooses their garment, size, colour and quantity, and confirms their contribution.

  4. 04

Contributions appear in one bag. Anyone can adjust their own while the bag is open.

  5. 05

The organiser reviews the combined bag — including whether the offer now applies — and proceeds from there.

Concept

What works today, and what does not

This is a prototype. A shared bag is created and stored in your own browser, so the link only opens a bag in the same browser that made it — there is no cross-device sharing until the service behind it is connected. Nothing is emailed, messaged or sent, and no shared order exists until the checkout and fulfilment services are in place.

A shared bag stays open for 7 days, then expires automatically.

Can my relatives join from their own phones?

That is the intention, and it is what the shared-bag model is designed for. Today it does not work across devices: the bag lives in one browser, so a link opened elsewhere will not find it.

Who pays for a shared bag?

One payer for the combined order, and one delivery address. If your household needs separate payments or addresses, that is worth raising with us before you build the bag.

Can the organiser see what each person chose?

Yes — each contribution shows the participant's name with their garment, size, colour and quantity, which is why a participant confirms consent before adding anything.

Does sending the link apply the offer?

No. The offer counts eligible units actually in the bag. Once enough eligible items have been contributed, the discount appears in the bag's totals.

What if somebody adds the wrong thing?

A participant can adjust their own contribution while the bag is open, and the organiser reviews everything before it proceeds. A shared bag also expires automatically after the configured lifetime, so a forgotten link does not stay open indefinitely.

Is a shared order placed when the bag is full?

No. In this prototype the bag is a demonstration of the model — nothing is submitted, and no order is created. Checkout is clearly marked as a demo for the same reason.
