Kids' Thobes

For their little moments. And the ones you will remember.

Children grow out of everything quickly, but they remember how a day felt: the walk to a family gathering, the first Eid they dressed up for, a photograph taken on a doorstep. Our children's range is built for those days — garments that look considered without feeling stiff, and that a child can actually move, run and sit in.

Some families dress their children for a Friday, some for a celebration, some simply because they like the way a well-cut white thobe looks on a small person. All of those reasons are welcome here. Nothing about this collection assumes one household looks like another.

These four directions describe how a garment is cut and finished. They are our design language, not a certificate of origin: a Saudi-inspired thobe is inspired by that tradition rather than made in it, and no single style belongs to one country or one family.

Size guide

Choosing a child's size

Children's sizing is the question we are asked most, and the one most likely to go wrong if it is guessed.

  1. 01Age is a starting reference, not a guarantee.
  2. 02Height, chest and garment length are more useful than any age bracket.
  3. 03Check the length and the freedom of movement: hem at the ankle, sleeve at the wrist bone, shoulder seam sitting where it should.
  4. 04Compare with a garment that already fits well, laid flat and measured, rather than comparing two labels.
  5. 05If you are between sizes, ask us — a short conversation usually settles it faster than a return.

Diagrams are generic illustrations of where a measurement is taken, not a size chart for any specific garment.

What is worth checking on every product page

What is worth checking on every product page

Some of this information belongs to the garment and some of it is general advice. We keep them apart, and where a garment detail is not confirmed yet the page says so instead of filling the space.

Fabric information

Composition, weight and finish explain how a thobe will behave in heat, and how it will look after a wash. Until a sample's fabric is confirmed, the product page shows a clear 'to be confirmed' state.

Closure details

Buttons, concealed plackets, press-studs or a pull-on neckline change how easily a child dresses themselves. Worth checking before a school or Friday morning.

Sleeve and garment length

The two measurements most likely to decide whether a garment is worn now or in six months. Where they are published, compare them with a garment that fits today.

Fit

Regular and relaxed describe room through the body, not quality. A relaxed cut gives a growing child more wear from one purchase.

Care instructions

A garment's own label always outranks any general guidance on this site, including ours.

What is included

Whether a price covers the garment alone or a set, and whether any accessory is part of it. Confirmed per product before launch.

Still unsure about size or fit?

Children's requests are handled with a parent or guardian, and we would rather answer a question now than have a garment sent back later. Tell us the child's height, a garment that fits well, and the date you need it for.

Children's thobes: common questions

Which size should I order for my child?

Start with height rather than age. Measure the child barefoot, then compare that with the garment's measurements where they are published. If only an age range is shown, treat it as an approximation and tell us the child's height if you would like a second opinion.

My child is between two sizes. What now?

For a growing child, the larger size usually gives more wear, provided the sleeve and hem can be worn neatly in the meantime. Where a garment is available for personal tailoring, a made-to-order piece removes the guesswork entirely.

Can two children wear the same thobe?

Siblings often do, which is one reason we favour durable finishes and simple repairs. If you are planning for a shared wardrobe, choose a size that suits the older child first and let the younger one grow into it.

Do you offer matching father-and-child looks?

Yes — the Little Celebration Thobe and the Men's Riyadh Collar Thobe are presented as a coordinated pair. They are separate products, in separate sizes, added to the bag separately; the coordination is a styling suggestion, not a bundled item.

Which style is right for a first thobe?

For everyday wear, a collarless Omani-inspired or a contemporary cut is usually easiest: fewer details, softer neckline, quicker to put on. A Saudi-inspired structured collar reads smarter for occasions but is a little more fiddly at the neck.

Are the prices and products real?

No. This is a prototype. Products, photographs and prices are concept samples used to develop the shopping experience, and stock, fabric and delivery details are confirmed before launch.

Can I buy for a child without knowing their measurements?

For a gift, a relaxed fit in a size above the child's age bracket is the safer choice. If the family is nearby, ask for height and a garment that already fits — that beats any size chart.

How do I get help quickly?

Use personal assistance from any product page, or send the enquiry form on our contact page. Tell us the garment, the size you are considering and the date you need it, and we can answer in one reply.
